My name is Michel Blokland and I graduated as a doctor in July 1990. From March 1994 to present I have been practicing as a corporate general practitioner with an interruption from May 2012 to August 2015 when serving in the position of Minister of Health. From January 2019 I have also been appointed in the position of Medical Director of the Sint Vincentius Hospital. My objective is to implement innovative reforms with the aim of transforming the hospital into a healthy and modern healthcare institution with sufficient financial strength in order to be less or not at all dependent on government subsidies and thus to offer high-quality medical services to society.
